Hey Nashvillians! Got ideas?

First off, thanks for all your fun comments yesterday. RWR is gonna be my new favorite thing, I can already tell!
Guess WHAT?! Brent told me this morning that we're headed to Nashville tonight to 1) spend the night with my mom and stepdad 2) hang out in the city tomorrow...WITHOUT KIDS 3) See Jesus Christ Superstar and I am deliriously excited!
So I'm thinking we're going to have several hours tomorrow to bum around town together with nary a stop at a "potty", "watermountain", or any other child-related neccessity. (woohoo!) So where should we go? I'd love a heads-up on any cool shops, restaurants, vintage stores, breweries, etc. (I threw "breweries" in there for Brent...I mean, if I have any hopes of getting some fun shopping done I better make sure the man gets a beer first, right?!)
Hope your weekend is fantastic!
Oh, WAIT! One more thing.

My sweet Lily. I did a shoot with her while we were down at the beach last weekend and there are some gorgeous gems over on the business blog. Check it!

Erin, I am one of Colleen's friends, and regularly hop on over. I would definately recommend going to Printer's Alley. It is really interesting. It is better at night, but still lots of fun during the day.

Check out Yazoo Brewery - it seems in a sketchy part of downtown, but they have great beer. May want to check out East Nashville. Great, fun places. I would recommend V floral & gifts at 114 S. 11th St. There's an ice cream place inside as well.

Cool. So I guess Brent did pull off surprising you for your birthday, finally!

You'll love Jesus Christ Super Star. I actually had the good fortune of seeing it in London and it was fantastic.

Our favorite restaurant has a location in Nashville and it is very good - the Melting Pot. All fondue meal and so yummy. The first course is sure to please both you and hubby - beer mixed with cheese!
Have fun :)

How fun! Next weekend, my husband and I are getting away for the first time since our daughter was born two years ago. I definitely understand the excitement of going out to eat without blowing on food, and having to cut it into little bits before you can even attempt to eat (inhale, rather) your own meal! I hope you guys have a great time!

It's because of dresses like the one Lily is wearing in the Indian dress shot that I *secretly* wish I'd had a girl!!! LOL. I wouldn't trade my son for anything in the world but boy do I let out big old sighs when I see those adorable dresses for little girls!! Girls defenitely got the cuter end of the bargain when it comes to clothes! ;) Those are beautiful beach shots. They look right out of a catalog for PBK or something! The sun flare one is awesome!
Have fun in Nash!

Oh Man, you'll LOVE JCS! It's so awesome, and you'll walk away singing all the songs from it!

Have a blast in Nashville. It's been YEARS since I've been, so I can't remember specifics.

Hey Erin! I'm sure you've probably already left, but if you check into your blog just like the last poster - the Pancake Pantry is a great place and on that same street is this cool looking paper/gift store I've wanted to go to and haven't been able to yet and even a used bookstore and some other neat looking shops! It might be a nice street to walk down and I love that area! It's 21st Avenue! Have fun! I love Nashville! Haven't explored it nearly enough yet, but getting there! :-D

I was going to suggest Yazoo too. My DH knows the brewer and he loves it. I like Bosco's - my DH loves their beer and their white pizza is yummy! This is probably out of the way but a place I've been wanting to go is the Arrington Vineyards. Anyways, have a blast without the kiddos!
