This is Daddy's first attempt at blogging, so go easy. I couldn't think of a better day to start--Sarah was baptized at Gateway Presbyterian this morning. Pastor Matt led a beautiful service and reminded us all of the importance of baptism as a sign that seals us in covenant with God, a sign that seals Sarah as one of God's own. The day was just as beautiful as the sacrament, and we were blessed to have some friends and family to enjoy the day with us.
I know most of you weren't able to make it, so enjoy the pictures and video. We had camera issues and the glare in the church was terrible, but Deed worked all afternoon to salvage some of the photos.
I think I should offer a prayer for the Pigbear. It's simple, Sarah. I just pray that you will grow in the grace of God, and when you realize what God is calling you to do, do it! As our friend Ed would say, always be of good courage and know that you are loved. Much loved. Amen.
Note from Mommy: Thanks, Aunt May May for the BEAUTIFUL dress! For those of you that don't know, Meghan is working in California as a wedding dress designer and she created the perfect thing for Sarah's special day. It's made from pieces of my wedding dress, mom's wedding dress, MIL's wedding dress, and FIL's baby gown. What a special gift from a special person for a special baby.
