hangin' with grandma and grandad

Sarah has spent the last week and a half playing with her grandma, and the last 5 days with her grandad. She loves for grandma to eat her piggies and get "belly sugar". She's very interested in her grandad and crains her neck to keep tabs on what he's doing no matter where he is in the room. She's can't help laughing when he does his Donald Duck voice, even if she's in the foulest mood. Grandparents are lovely! And it's a good thing since Sarah has 6 grandparents, and 4 great-grandparents!

A few other exciting things have happened in the life of Miss Sarah Lorraine...

On Friday she became very interested in sitting up on her own and wants to try all the time. She's still not quite ready to sit without support but she can hold herself up pretty well with her boppy pillow around her waist, and she even tries to correct herself if she falls forward, backward, or "lists" to one side.

Because she's doing such a better job at holding herself up, she graduated to her highchair. At 3 1/2 months she's not eating solid food yet but she LOVES sitting with mommy and daddy at the dinner table. And although she's not eating food she's still shoving anything she can get her hands on into her mouth...

On Saturday Sarah got a personal tour of the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs from future Olympian, Emily Shertzer. Emily is training for the pentathlon and we're rooting for her to get to Beijing in 2008...Sarah was very impressed...

And, finally, a shot from Thursday's playgroup at our house...
