back to life

After tomorrow's long travel day it's officially back to life, back to reality (who sings that song??) for the Pigbear and her parents. I'm sad to leave Anderson. I can't remember the last time I spent this much time with my Dad and it's been really, really fun. Sarah adores her Grandaddy, Nana, Papa, MamaJo, Grandma, and Grandad and I'm thrilled that when we finally move back South in a year she'll never remember a time when she didn't live within driving distance of all of her grandparents. Leaving always reminds me of how great it'll be when we won't have to say goodbye so often or for so long.

Enough gushing. Today we drove over to Greenville, SC to hang out around their thriving riverfront main street area. They have a cool waterfall surrounded by lush greenery that one couldn't even dream of growing in dry Colorado. The hydrangeas here are out of this world. I wish I'd gotten a good photo of them. After letting Sarah roll around in the grass and put her toes in the cool river water we headed to the shopping district. I picked up a cute little thing for Charlotte's nursery (Meghan, pretend like you didn't just read that) and we had some yummy softserve at the end of our trek. We were all pooped when we arrived back at "the castle" (Dad and Sue's humble reference to their home) and had time for a quick powernap before dinner at O'Charleys. It was a superfun day. The kind that makes you so happy you came and so sad that you're leaving.
