We'd had success with Mickey the day before when Sarah bravely walked right up to him and planted a kiss on his nose. That gave me the teensiest bit of hope that Pi'bears might actually speak a word or two to Cinderella. She had all sorts of lines planned out including "I love you" and "you're so pretty". When we first entered the room where the princesses were greeting the children Sarah just stared at her in awe. Then a little smile. And then slowly, slowly she retreated into her little two-year old shell until, predictably, there was nothing left but this...
Hey, can you blame her? I mean, Cinderella is her HERO. Her first little girl obsession. I'm quite sure I'd react the same way if I were to meet Oprah...or Tara Whitney! She was thrilled with the experience though (once we got out of there and were a safe distance away!) and hasn't stopped talking about it since. She's always sure to add though that "I was a lil' bit shy". A lil' bit. Right. In our house we call that a lotta bit.
Belle and Sleeping Beauty were there too but they're pretty much second rate in Sarah's book, at least this year.
We ended the day with a stop at the confectionary where we let Sarah choose whatever her heart desired. She had it in her head that she really wanted cotton candy...
but after three bites declared it "too sticky to eat" and moved on to mommy's yummy treat...
Oh well, I didn't need those calories anyway!
And for the record, Buddy-Ro was there too. Doing what he does best.
Tomorrow no more disney, I promise!

I love how shy she was. Very cute! And it looked like your family had a wonderful time.
We are heading out for Disney in the morning. Too bad we weren't there at the same time. I would have loved to have gotten my hands on that little baby boy of yours. I am sure Kennedy will be just as shy as Sarah...two year olds!

Man, I love me some of those Mickey Mouse rice krispies!! That was my fav treat at D-World. I think I had like 3 or 4! So cute of Sarah with Cinderella. Man, my kids have done that alot. Your so excited for them and it's just too much to handle.

How sweet. You know the first time Mazie met Cinderella she smiled the rest of the day. Couldn't wipe it off her face if we tried. I have a picture of her walking across the park with her. She was three though.
Love your blog! My little girl's first love was also Cinderella. She is now almost two and loves Ariel! Too cute!
I'm glad meeting her hero made Sarah's day even if she was a lil bit shy. And as much as I love cotton candy (bought 2 bags at the Boardwalk last week!) if it was humid in Florida then it probably WAS too sticky to eat. (I think I might have to go make some rice krispie treats....)
Tori I didn't use the flash on these photos just because I didn't really have time to fiddle with settings and such. Instead I took a whole bunch of pics of the person in front of us in line (they probably thought I was a total weirdo) to make sure I got the exposure the way I wanted it. That way I was ready to shoot away when it was Sarah's turn. The lights in there were BRIGHT and cast a horrible yellow all over the pics which I tried to get out in ps but the color is still all wrong. For what I had to work with though they're fine. Thanks for asking!
The one of her sitting in Brent's lap looking in the complete opposite direction is hysterical! I think Stella would be totally freaked out too.
The day my oldest daughter (then 2) met Cinderella, she was sure to put on her Cinderella panties that day, and even MORE sure to SHOW them to Cinderella when we got to the front of the line! No shyness on her part! LOL!

If it's any consolation, I just asked my DD, Kensington, who was in those pictures..pointing specifically to Cinderella....she just shook her head and said "I don't know.". I said,"That is Cinderella." She said, "No momma, that is NOT Cinderella."
She looks so different in real life apparently...not animated! : )

I was noticing that your baby boy sucks the same passy that my girl does? I absolutely hate this big green thing, there is nothing to hold it with but she loves it. Have you tried to switch passies on him?
Hey Trice! Congrats on your sweet little one's arrival! That paci is the only one that Ephraim or Sarah would ever take. It's not a huge deal for us since we only use it when we're out and about and he just absolutely can't cry - church, airplanes, and, well, DISNEY! :) I can see how it would be annoying though if he used it a lot. It is kinda fun to put your finger in that little hole though, don't you think. :)
