At Aunt Lori's prodding, I've decided to enter my first photo contest. It's for Parenting magazine, and she had the entry form all cut out and stuffed in her purse when she picked me up from the airport two weeks ago. I don't think I'd been in the state of California for more than 20 minutes before she had it in my face, insisting I enter. Trust me, you don't tell that woman no. So I'm entering.
I'd love your help deciding what to enter. The guidelines state they're looking for "a mix of originality, charm, and technical proficiency." I know there are lurkers out there who refuse to post comments, which is totally fine, but this time I need your help!

Ok, this is just too hard. They are all great pictures. In my opinion, I have to say that I like them in this order 7,5,3,1,2,6,4. I think 7 has the greatest chance of winning. Good luck!
Ditto to what Megan said. How do you expect us to choose? I guess if I absolutely have to choose one or two it would be the one of PB in her green knit hat or the black and white wearing vintage knit hat. Good Luck!! You're sure to be a winner.

Though they are all adorable..my favorite are the last three. I agree with Samantha - I really liked the Santa Fe trail ones and the one of Sarah on the yellow chair outside. It'll be hard to pick the "best one" ...which is your favorite, Erin???

I think not 3 because you can't see her whole face. I agree about the chair and the trail pictures. Can you post those again numbered so we can vote including those? Sorry to be such a P. in the A., but I REALLY liked those others, too. Otherwise, I liked #2, the one of her laughing. And I liked #7.

5&7! I think... Its so hard they are all great pictures. I liked the bathtub shot where you can see her reflection in the chrome.

#5 being my absolute fave! It's original, great color and proportion (all that tech stuff) and just so darn cute!

I'll officially log my vote here--I love #6. Maybe it's because I see it everyday on your blog, but her eyes just captivate me and that sweet smile is impossible to resist! I also like 3 as an artistic shot, but not being able to see her entire face is a drawback. My third place vote would go to #2. They are all great, though, and I agree with the suggestion on those Santa Fe trail pictures!

They are all lovely. I like #s 4, 6, and 1, in that order. Of course, that means none of them will win because I'm never in tune with popular taste. So now you know which ones to eliminate. :-)

OK, I'm a lurker. Check your blog daily...DAILY!! Found you through J.J's blog. Anyway, since us lurkers were instructed to come out of hiding i'll vote. So hard, took some time, but I've narrowed it down to three choices in this order.....6,7,3. Either of all the photos will surely win.
Based on the critieria, I'd say my top three would be 2, 3 (esp the light), and 6 (esp the crop), not necessarily in that order. I think your strengths are definitley lighting and cropping, so you should show them off. I am surprised that the yellow chair portrait isn't included in the mix, though, it's one of my favorites!

Okay, from my non-biased co-worker who doesn't even like babies: 3, because the eyes are expressive w/out being "Gerber-like," and 6, for the same basic reason. Good Luck!

I love them all, too, she's such a gorgeous kid. My favorites are 6, 3, and 1. I can so see 6 on the cover. ;) Also, that one of her looking into the bathtub fixture is adorable, too, and really unique. I know that's not one of the choices... I guess you can't enter more than once, can you?

I polled Rich (since he hasn't seen any of the pictures before) and he said "I'm probably not much of a judge of technical proficiency", but he likes 4, 6, and 7 (in no particular order).
My vote is #4.
Okay, I am finally putting in my opinion...I think 2,3,6,and 7 (might have to go look at them again.) That probably didn't help much 4 out of 7 pictures. but I just love number 6, you can see the different coloring in Sarah's eyes even with the black and white picture. I will have to have Mike look at them because he knows about lighting and all that photography stuff! Good Luck! Gina
