Ten on Tuesday

eta: just realized the link in #3 was wrong...fixed it!

So, I'm not normally a Ten on Tuesday'er but J.J. always does such a great job (and Susie too) that I thought I'd give it a shot. Plus, I'm at my mom's without any photos to post and didn't want to leave you all hanging for a week. I'm always worried you'll abandon me if I'm gone too long! :)

SO...

1. Just when the great church search was beginning to get desperate I discovered that there is another PCUSA church just around the corner that we didn't even realize was there! I'm super excited about the possibility but trying not to get too wound up about it since we haven't actually been there yet. But it looks promising. So here's hoping.

2. Some of you might know that we've been expecting a feature article about Sarah and Jon David and the babyGAP experience to come out in the August issue of CHILD magazine. I've been looking high and low for that thing and just discovered today that there's a reason I couldn't find it. Talk about disappointing.

3. Cool news. I've been in contact with a friend/former client about doing some product photography for her awesome new online shop of "stylish and affordable homemade baby products". I'm super excited about the possiblity because she's got some really neat things for little ones. I'll let you know if it ends up happening but in the meantime check out Sweet Poppi and support a work at home mom with a real sense of style!

4. I love my photo a day (POTD, one.frame.a.day, whatever you want to call it). I spent a good portion of Sarah's nap today going back through all of the photos and stories since it's inception at the beginning of this year and I've fallen back in love. It's amazing how quickly we forget things about our children, our lives, our families that seriously just happened. Go pick up your camera, guys, and capture your little moments.

5. My summer maternity clothes are getting tight. I'm beginning to worry that I'll have to either buy some more (NOOO!) or wear sweaters and jeans in September (and, trust me, doing that in the deep south is akin to rolling down the windows in your '86 Honda Accord and blowing the heat on full-blast in 100degree weather to keep your beater car from overheating. Been there. Done that. Don't care to relive it.)

6. Sarah is officially over the pack n'play, crib, or any other sort of sleeping furniture whose secondary purpose is containment. She's sleeping on a "pallet" here at Grama's house. And she's mighty happy about it.

7. I have a sneaking suspicion that Sarah may have a mild form of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease. This only goes to prove my theory that she gets every nasty virus and bug that can possibly be passed around. I know the title sounds gross but from what I've read HFMD is pretty tame and, thankfully, goes away untreated. Her only symptom is a weird-looking, itchless rash on the bottom of her feet. Dirty kid.

8. Sarah's new favorite book characters are Biscuit and Spot.

10. As I'm typing this my sitemeter reads 92,950. I average about 300 hits a day which means we should be rolling around to 100,000 sometime in the next month. I'm thinking of doing a fun prize/giveaway thingy for number 100,000. Any ideas???
