who invited Reality over?

As indicated in my last couple of posts I was flying pretty high after our super-fun vacation out east. Apparenly Reality doesn't read my blog because he thought nothing of intruding right into our blissful cocoon and dropping a raging case of RSV into our laps.

I should have known.

I'm considering never taking Sarah on an airplane again. Every time I do she comes down with some nastiness, even ending up in the hospital last time! Hopefully we won't be going that route again but the doc did warn us yesterday that RSV often turns into pneumonia in little ones which would mean being admitted again.

I'm still determined to think positively. And even though Pi'bear was miserable yesterday she's perked up a bit today and has even gone so far as to babble a few words and crack a few smiles (the only word she said all day yesterday was "baby" - pitifully and trancelike over and over again as we sat waiting for the doctor and she heard some poor tyke screaming bloody murder over an immunization).

Here she is, pacifying herself with "bu-bu" (quite a lovely habit of sucking on his bum, dontcha think?) and destroying my stationary box.

One more thing. If Reality comes knocking on your door today, tell him you're not interested.

Oh Erin- I am so sorry! I hope she gets on the up and up! Elaina got RSV last winter, and it DID turn into pneumonia. She was in the hospital for 3 days, and then came home with an oxygen tank for another 7!! Yowch! IT was awful. I hope she keeps getting better with each passing day!! Prayers are coming your way!! You take care of yourself too!!!

I'm so sorry she isn't feeling well. Hopefully it won't last too long for you this time.

Keeping you in thought and prayer -- RSV is no fun. That reality came knocking on our door Christmas morning, and we spent the next five days in the hospital.

Oh, she looks pitiful in that picture! We've been sick for weeks with stomach bugs and coughs. I keep repeating, "This is building his immune system" to make myself feel better. I hate seeing my baby sick! Give Pigbear a big hug from us (no kisses since Jon is sporting a cough again). :)

Poor baby, hope she's better soon. And you just cured me of my pity party - dh and I just got back from a kidless vacation and I've been bemoaning the crankiness and clingyness of the girls (really, what did I expect?) but thats a better reality than some nasty germs invasion. Get well!

Hope you're all healthy and happy soon--we want to come visit. It's so lonely without seeing the Pigbear! Let us know if you need anything.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear Sarah is not feeling well...that nasty old RSV!

I know you are looking forward to coming out here, to California and that means another plane flight. Perhaps a mask will rid the virus, while in flight?

Hope Sarah gets better real soon.

Love you all....
