Her Royal Weirdness

See this spot?

Any idea where it came from?

Her Royal Weirdness, of course!

Apparently it's really fun to lick the fireplace hearth just to see the spot you can make.

And, another fun thing? Playing in the bathtub without any water...

I sure hope Gap likes weird!

Mazie used to love playing in the tub just because. It's funny what they find fascinating.

..and from where, pray tell, might the child have derived this weirdness trait? Some might say that letting your child lick a fireplace hearth while you take pictures of it is not exactly within the pale of normalcy....knowaddamean??

hehehe.....Taryn does the same thing with our couch....drives me nuts! Too cute about the bathtub too, Taryn tries to get in but hasn't yet.

Oh and congrats on those first steps! Exciting huh!

Things ARE just better, when younger....no thought of how you really look or what you are doing, for all to see.
When Sarah gets older...these pictures are to "Bribe" with!

Love you...

I STILL catch my kids in the tub playing - usually when they don't want me to know they are awake yet. They sneak in the bathroom, pull the curtain behind them, and play away!

Hilarious, Erin! Both of my girls love to play in the empty tub, too. They use the shower curtain and make up plays.

When Nick wasn't much older than Sarah he got some new tub toys for Christmas. Christmas day I was looking all over for him and found him in the empty tub with all his new tub toys! He also use to put anything he found on the floor in his mouth - including bugs!! So licking the hearth isn't so bad...

I've been to your house the hearth is clean and it's even cleaner now!
The next thing ya know she'll be licking smiley faces on it.

That's hilarious!

In ECE terms, as you know, we call this "cause and effect". My tongue causes the fireplace hearth to darken. She's exploring her world! (A little more strangely than most year olds, but exploring none the less)
