family day
Around here Saturday is family day. Now that we're feeling a little more settled into our house we've really been able to get out and about and take advantage of all that this area has to offer. This past weekend at Colleen's suggestion and another friend's invitation we ended up at Tate Farms. One word: WOW. Not only did they offer the typical hayride/pumpkin patch combo but they had some amazing attractions for the kids (and grown-ups...can you say chocolate-dipped Belgian waffle on a stick?!). Sarah and a friend from her preschool frolicked around in pits of corn kernels, waded through a huge cage of cotton, rode the coolest horse swings made out of old tires, and just enjoyed stomping around the great outdoors. There was more than enough to do for several hours and even with the massive crowd gathered there it still didn't feel cramped. Saying it was an awesome morning would be an understatement. It's definitely being added to our list of fall traditions.

looks like so much fun! i take my 3 year olds on a field trip tomorrow to the pumpkin patch- thank goodness their parents have to bring them and stay with them the whole time- or else i might be going a little crazy!

Oh, I loved seeing the pictures of YOU!! Molly still likes to find the smallest pumpkin she can find. Meanwhile, I try to get her to get a BIG one, since they are the same price! I need to just let her pick, and be happy with it, I guess....

Oh my gosh, that place is awesome! A pit of corn kernels?!? I've only seen them in water tables not a huge area!

I love Fall! The pumpkin patch looked like an awesome place. Sarah is so cute and I love all your photos! I think I remember you have family near Nashville? If you are ever up this way, this time of year then you must check out Walden and Gentry farms. :)
What a great place! None of the pumpkin patches I've been to have cool stuff like a corn kernal pit or a cotton cage!! (Not to mention chocolate covered Belgian waffles on a stick!!)

We live in Kentucky, but must visit this place! Especially since our son's name is TATE...we need a t-shirt :) LOL!
okay I am taking a chance per you previous blog regarding the Gap contest - I actually entered the twins Aaron and Rachel. So to all the friends and family of Erin check out their pictures (we just sent them today) they are entered into the 5-12 age group (Aaron is sitting on the floor he has a red shirt and blue jeanson) (Rachel is standing and has on a white and brown shirt with ginger bread men on it. If by any chance they are picked as finalist we would appreciate your support. I can't believe I actually did it and the kids were crazy about the idea.
